Koh Phangan has no airport, so air arrivals usually connect through Koh Samui and then take a ferry to Thong Sala. Samui’s airport is about 10–15 minutes from the Bangrak and Maenam ferry piers, and crossings to Thong Sala take around 20–30 minutes. From the pier, shared songthaews serve Haad Salad; the house is about 9.5 km from the town centre. The route to Haad Salad follows the island’s west side. Wang Sai Waterfall is 400 m away, while Phaeng Waterfall is 7.3 km from the property. Coral Reef and the nearby snorkelling sites draw visitors to the water; for a land-based outing, Thong Sala has the island’s night market. February to April is generally the driest, calmest period on Koh Phangan. The wetter season runs from October to December, when seas can be rough, particularly along the east coast.
